Pleased to meet you! I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but I moved to the Galapagos islands for love. Together with Waldemar and our two children Olivia and Dante, I live on the island Santa Cruz. We speak a lot of different languages at home: Dutch, English, Spanish and Portuguese It makes me happy to give travelers an unforgettable experience on the Galapagos islands. If you can feel the purity of nature in your soul, that makes me the happiest. Because I can’t get enough of it myself. Outdoor life, letting go of stress, the wonders of nature… I love it so much. Galapagos is a dream come true for me. The most beautiful place on earth is ‘my office’. How lucky am I? Aside from organizing trips for our company Galapagos Unique Paradise, I am also co-founder of www.tribecallednow.com. An organization that organizes trips for young people, to help them get to know themselves, other people and the world.

Despite that I grew up on the Galapagos islands, I’m still amazed every day. The area has so much to offer! For instance, recently after a long day of diving I encountered hundreds of dolphins. They swam alongside the boat and jumped out of the water every now and then. And when the pink land iguana was discovered a few years ago, I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep for a week. It’s just incredible that this is the place I can call home! Doing what you love is freedom. Loving what you do is happiness. And I experience that happiness every day when I go ‘to work’. Nature is my biggest passion. And I love sharing my passion. As a guide, I try to show you all the most beautiful places, and I share all my knowledge. Facts about geology, ecology, (marine) biology, herbology, ornithology, or whatever you’re most interested in.
